One
of the first bibliographers was Conrad Gessner who sought to list all books
printed in Latin, Greek and Hebrew in Bibliotheca Universalis (1545).”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bibliography#Bibliographers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A bibliographer, in the technical meaning of the word, is
anyone who writes about books. But the accepted meaning since at least
the 18th century is a person who attempts a comprehensive account—sometimes
just a list, sometimes a fuller reckoning—of the books written on a particular
subject. In the present, bibliography is no longer a career, generally
speaking; bibliographies tend to be written on highly specific subjects and by
specialists in the field. For the bibliographers below, assembling and
categorizing books was either a major professional pursuit or a lifelong avocation.

“İskenderiye
Kütüphanesinde kataloglama çalışmalarının yapılması kütüphaneciliğe verilen
önemi göstermektedir. Bu kütüphanede bulunan yaklaşık 900.000 eseri, M.Ö. III
biri idi (Birchette, 1973, s.303).” http://kaynak.unak.org.tr/bildiri/unak05/u05-12.pdf

olabilir.” http://kaynak.unak.org.tr/bildiri/unak05/u05-12.pdf

Kyrene’li

Pergamon Pinakes'inin
yapı ve biçim itibarıyla Kallimakhos'unkine benzediği varsayılabilir. Bu
filolojik çalı§ maları yürüten .yazarların adlarını, antik kaynaklarda hep
anonim oldukları için maalesefkesin olarak bilmiyoruz.ZZ” http://dl.azbitik.com/ata/herqonudan/260-Antiqchaghda%20Kitab%20(Horst%20Blanck)%20(Chev-Zehra%20Aksu%20Yilmazer)%20(Ankara-2000).pdf

“Kütüphaneye gelenlerin
aradıkları kitabın orada olup olmadığını öğrenmek amacıyla kullandıkları.
kataloglar vardı mutlaka, zira iyi idare edilen özel kütÜphanelerde bile
mutlaka bir katalog bulunurdu. Bu indices muhtemelen yazın türüne göre
düzenlenmi§ti, örneğin, epik §airler, fil6zoflar, tarihçiler, hatipler vs;
Historia Augusta'nın yazarı (Tacitus 8, 1) Bibliotheca Ulpia'daki 6 no'lu bir
dolaptan söz eder. Kitap kodları, ruloların ucundan sarkan sillyboi üzerinde
yazıyordu muhtemelen.” http://dl.azbitik.com/ata/herqonudan/260-Antiqchaghda%20Kitab%20(Horst%20Blanck)%20(Chev-Zehra%20Aksu%20Yilmazer)%20(Ankara-2000).pdf

Bibliography (from Greek βιβλιογραφία, bibliographia, literally "book writing"), as a practice, is the academic study of books as physical, cultural objects; in this sense, it is also known as bibliology (from Greek -λογία, -logia). On the whole, bibliography is not concerned with the literary content of books, but rather the "bookness" of books.
